OLOW - SENDCo LEAD​​​​​​​

Salary point range: Leadership scale L12 – L16

Hours: Part time (0.5 FTE)

Responsible to: CEO, Director of Primary Improvement, Trust Headteachers, and the Trustees

Responsible for: Provision of SEND strategies to all pupils across the Trust

Effective Date:  1st January 2024

This newly created position is to support the SENDCos working in the schools in our Catholic multi academy Trust; currently 5 primaries and two secondaries  and due to grow to include another four primary schools.  While each school has its own well qualified and experienced SENDCo, we are now seeking to further develop and strengthen our inclusive Trust community with the addition of the further expertise of an experienced colleague to provide professional advice, guidance and challenge. You will have an excellent knowledge of the code of practice and understand how scarce resources can be deployed effectively to best support our most vulnerable children. You will have high levels of emotional intelligence, be solution focused and committed to working with our Trust and school leaders, teachers and support staff to enable them to deliver excellent SEND provision.

We are looking for a well-informed, experienced leader who has an excellent track record of providing outstanding support for children and young people in primary and/or secondary schools. You may have been part of a local authority team and/or worked closely with senior leadership teams in schools. You may also have provided line management for a SENDCo.
